Volunteer Coordinator

Definition:

The Volunteer Coordinator is a non-voting member of the Durham Savoyards Board of Governors whose role is to lead or coordinate some of the several volunteer activities that are part of the regular operations of the Durham Savoyards organization. Created in 2018 by vote of the Durham Savoyards Board of Governors, at its inception, the Volunteer Coordinator role is focused on establishing volunteer guidelines for annual set building. Other activities that are part of our annual operations, e.g., mailings, parties, outreach events, etc., can be subsumed under the responsibility of the Volunteer Coordinator where these activities are not already organized by earlier precedent or planning.

Responsibilities:

Based on direction from the Durham Savoyards Board of Governors the Volunteer Coordinator shall establish guidelines for volunteer activity requirements for members of the Durham Savoyards and amendments to these as determined by the Board.

The Volunteer Coordinator will administer the following criteria for assuring adequate participation in volunteer activities:

  1. Volunteer activity scope: define purpose, goals and actions for specific volunteer activity.
  2. Resource planning: assure sufficient participation to complete the planned volunteer activity.
  3. Dates: Establish timelines and deadlines pertinent to the completion of volunteer activities.
