December 2021.  Our performance of Patience, or Bunthorne’s Bride is recognized in The Best of Triangle Arts in the category of Outstanding Virtual Program by Chatham Life & Style.

Spring 2021.  During the pandemic lockdown, Melissa S. Craib Dombrowski takes the reins as our new Artistic Director / Choreographer, and the company produces its first ever virtual show, Patience, as a series of episodes which can be viewed on our YouTube channel.  The production is also shown in June at a local drive-in theatre.

March 12, 2020.  Two weeks before showtime, the COVID-19 pandemic shuts down our production of Patience.  It would have been the final production with Derrick Ivey as Artistic Director/Choreographer, and the first with Joanna Sisk-Purvis as Music Director.

Dec. 16, 2019.  The Durham Savoyards, Ltd. production of The Mikado was recognized in The Best of Triangle Arts 2019 in the categories of Outstanding Production, Outstanding Direction (Derrick Ivey), Outstanding Costume Design (Karen Guidry), Outstanding Hair & Makeup Design (Pam Guidry-Vollers), Outstanding Ensemble Performance, and Outstanding Instrumental Performance (Music Director: Jackson Cooper) by Chatham Life & Style.

Sept. 10, 2019.  The Board of Governors voted to adopt the Chicago Theatre Standards.

Jul. 13, 2019  In recognition of many, many years of far-reaching contributions to The Durham Savoyards, Ltd., Charles Guidry and Karen Guidry were presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards, and Ben Morgan was given the Russell Sharpe Techie Extraordinaire Award.

Dec. 10, 2017   The Durham Savoyards, Ltd. Thespis Orchestra honored for Outstanding Instrumental Performance by Triangle Arts and Entertainment!

Oct. 13, 2017    To celebrate and honor his guidance, devotion, patience, humor, and extraordinary musical talents, The Durham Savoyards, Ltd. gratefully confer upon Alan Riley Jones the title of Maestro in Perpetuity.  Hail, Poetry!
