All the village men love sweet Rose Maybud, but Rose cares only for the shy Robin Oakapple. Alas, Robin has a
secret: he's really Sir Ruthven, Baronet of Ruddigore in disguise, trying to avoid the curse that was
cast on the family title. Once his secret is discovered he must commit a dastardly crime each day or suffer the
wrath of his ghostly ancestors. The Durham Savoyards and their orchestra return in their 41st season with this
wonderful melodrama parody..

for all they're worth.... Ivey and ... Jones ... pitch their
entertaining supernatural camp all over the place...."
