The Yeomen of the Guard - Ensemble Selections for Call-Backs
This score features several harmonically-rich ensembles calling for madrigal-like blend and security of a cappella pitch, along with the usual set pieces for alternating soloists. We will sing through each selection as a group during the call-back audition before trying out individual combinations. Candidates are encouraged to study their roles' selections ahead of time, if at all possible, though this is in no way required. It is simply a matter of your self-confidence, and consideration for your colleagues' time. Consider the possibility that you might have auditioned for one role, but be called back for another or for several. The more you can study all the roles for your voice range within the following selections, then the more comfortable you may feel at call-backs, and the more smoothly the evening can progress.
