Thankfully almost all those who registered for an audition came - and our directors now have a cast. I had to make a 3rd order of scores just because there are so many who have not performed in The Gondoliers before - in contrast to Richard who I understand is now singing in his fourth Gondoliers!!

The learning-by-doing continues, and I am so grateful to those who point me/us in the direction of items that need attending to. Press releases, scores for the orchestra, making a contract with the Carolina Theatre for our press publicity, keeping the calendar updated, finding alternative rehearsal locations, invitation publicity cards, and so on - have been on my schedule recently. If you think there is something I have forgotten, please just shoot me an email -

I hope all cast members took note of the advice not to bring unnecessary valuables to rehearsals - leave them at home or lock them in the trunk of your vehicle before leaving home is the advice I offer.

Meanwhile, should we be thinking green, and trying to car pool as often as possible? We have some brand new cast members this year - do any of them live in your area - could you share a ride - have you checked the list?

The cold weather today has meant no set-building. Hopefully these freezing temperatures will not return as our set is vital and Charles will appreciate all the able-bodied who come to help next Saturday and all of the following ones. If you have never attended set-building, please join the team on at least one Saturday - it will give you a much greater understanding of the background work that enables our cast to have a stage setting.

Cathy Lambe will soon be distributing ticket order forms to cast members. The best sales persons of tickets for our shows are cast members. Your friends, your colleagues, your family, your choir members, and others, all want to see you on the stage and to enjoy a really good affordable show - remember our ticket prices are approximately one third of those for DPAC - and we have a live orchestra too.

If you are reading this, and are not a cast member but know a cast member, please contact them and get them to sell you some tickets. The box office at the Carolina Theatre ((919) 560-3030 or toll free 1-888-241-8162) will also be happy to sell you tickets.

Show dates are March 26 thru March 29 when we have a matinee performance.

Thanks for your support, Sarah & David Nevill

PS: Thanks to Tanner and Janell for hosting the Meet-the-Cast. Surely we need another party before the show? Do we have any volunteers to host?
